About the role

State Street's Collateral Management team in Hyderabad, India, reduces credit risk by exchanging eligible cash or securities with counterparties and ensuring exposures are fully collateralized. As an Associate, you perform daily mark-to-market calculations, issue and answer margin calls, reconcile collateral balances, investigate discrepancies, and document process improvements while supporting on-boarding and ad-hoc projects. The role offers basic training and operates on a remote work model with some office presence.

What you’ll do

  • Complete all assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Answer margin calls and queries from different departments
  • Reconcile collateral balances, investigate and solve discrepancies; act as main point of contact/escalations
  • Review and document process flows/procedures and contribute improvement ideas to streamline operations
  • Get involved in departmental ad-hoc projects
  • Prepare and review monthly internal and external statistics
  • Support on-boarding of new processes, clients, etc.
  • Support manager by preparing and planning workload and replying timely and professionally to queries via different communication channels

What you’ll bring

  • Graduate degree or above, preferably in Finance (B.Com, BBM/BBA, MBA Finance, M.Com, or related Finance/Commerce degree)
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in financial or business services
  • Numeracy skills with attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
  • Good command of English and effective communication
  • Understanding of financial markets basics
  • Ability to collaborate, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible

Nice to have

  • Power Point and Word will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of OTC markets, derivatives instruments, custody, or VBA would be an advantage
  • Certification on NCFM / CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment)
  • Knowledge on Macros, SQL & MS Access Database queries
