Maintenance Officer

About the role

Britannia Industries is hiring a Maintenance Officer for its Manufacturing department in Bidadi, Karnataka, India. The role oversees preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure efficient, smooth operation of all equipment. Day-to-day duties include conducting equipment troubleshooting and fault diagnosis, managing spare parts inventory, coordinating vendors and AMCs, and maintaining safety compliance and documentation. The position requires 5–10 years of experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance management with expertise in equipment troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.

What you’ll do

• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure efficient and smooth operation of all equipment
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to identify and address issues in a timely manner
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate vendors and AMC management
• Ensure safety compliance and operate the Permit-to-Work system
• Perform calibration and equipment inspection with documentation and maintenance record keeping
• Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action)
• Use SAP / CMMS maintenance software for maintenance activities
• Support energy management and cost control, including team handling and manpower management

• 5–10 years of experience in Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance Management
• Expertise in Equipment Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis
• In-depth knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
• Basic knowledge of PLC / Automation
• Spare Parts Inventory Management
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Knowledge
• Utility Maintenance knowledge (Boilers, Compressors, DG, HVAC, Pumps, ETP/STP)
