Lead Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Sourcing Services team at GE Vernova drives cost initiatives and standardizes sourcing processes. The Lead Sourcing Specialist manages purchase price variance, PO approvals, claims governance, and leads efficiency programs while ensuring QMS compliance and supporting data‑driven decision making. Remote work model with optional presence in Bengaluru or Noida, India, relocation assistance provided.

What you’ll do

• Manage PPV and PO approval processes using PMX and Oracle Alpha
• Govern claims review board, purchase order cancellations and vendor chargebacks
• Lead initiatives to reduce non‑value‑added activities and standardize work across the team
• Ensure sourcing QMS compliance, including DOA, price approvals and competitive bidding policies
• Collaborate with team leaders on sourcing KPIs and support data analytics
• Maintain standard cost updates
• Provide expertise and best‑practice guidance within the discipline
• Influence and communicate complex messages to colleagues

What you’ll bring

• 9+ years of experience in sourcing and sourcing management
• B.E/B.Tech/MBA from an accredited university

• Ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Experience leading programs/projects
• Knowledge of buy‑to‑pay processes and ERP systems
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
• Cross‑functional matrix team experience
