Senior API Engineer

About the role

Alter Domus is a global provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry, serving 90% of the top 30 private-market asset managers. As a Senior API Engineer in Hyderabad, you will design, develop, and maintain internal and customer-facing RESTful APIs and .NET services, architect cloud-based and microservices solutions, and optimize SQL databases to ensure high performance and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver customer-centric software while upholding code quality through reviews and testing.

What you’ll do

• Create and manage RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration with various systems
• Design, develop, and maintain robust .NET applications and services
• Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements
• Utilize SQL for database design, management, and optimization
• Implement microservices architecture to enhance application modularity and scalability
• Leverage Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration of applications
• Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing
• Communicate with technical and business leaders on requirements, system capabilities, and delivery status

What you’ll bring

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 6-10 years of relevant software development experience
• Strong background in C#.NET and Microsoft .NET Framework
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including stored procedures and functions
• Experience designing, architecting, and managing RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts, SOLID principles, design patterns, and architecture
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Exposure to Git and Azure DevOps

Nice to have

• Experience working with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration
• Experience in cloud deployment to Kubernetes clusters or AWS EKS
• Domain knowledge in Financial Services
