About the role

Qualcomm modem team designs cutting‑edge wireless technology for industry‑leading devices. The Senior Staff engineer leads RTL design and integration of flagship modem core IPs, driving microarchitecture specs, RTL ownership, and cross‑functional debugging. Bangalore, India, on‑site role with hybrid collaboration across global teams.

What you’ll do

• Develop microarchitecture specifications and RTL code targeting power, performance, area, and timing goals
• Own RTL design, assessment, and refinement for flagship modem IPs
• Collaborate with block designers, verification, architecture, and post‑silicon teams to resolve issues
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance
• Plan and execute overall project timelines and deliverables
• Debug and provide workarounds for cross‑functional integration challenges
• Ensure compliance with industry‑standard front‑end tool flows (lint, CDC, etc.)
• Communicate effectively across multi‑geo teams

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years front‑end ASIC RTL design experience
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL
• Hands‑on SoC design and integration
• Knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB)
• Experience with multi‑clock designs and low‑power techniques
• Familiarity with synthesis and STA tools
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Leadership and mentorship experience
