About the role
Aptiv's Advanced Safety Systems team builds cutting‑edge safety, electrification and connectivity solutions for automotive and industrial automation. As a Radar Front End Lead Engineer you will design, develop and maintain radar front‑end software, lead a team through the full V‑cycle, and collaborate with chipset vendors and global system teams. Bangalore, India, on‑site, hybrid schedule with flexible hours.
What you’ll do
- Create, deploy and maintain radar front‑end software for automotive radars
- Lead the software V‑cycle from requirements through design, development, testing and release
- Resolve customer issues across multiple radar generations and coordinate with chipset vendors
- Guide team planning and execution to meet project goals
- Ensure software quality via code reviews, static analysis and automated testing
- Collaborate with algorithm, systems, hardware, validation and product teams
- Support issue triage, customer escalations and product releases
- Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity
What you’ll bring
- 8-14 years embedded software development
- Expertise in Embedded C
- Experience with processor architectures (TI/NXP)
- Knowledge of datasheets, TRMs and safety manuals
- Familiarity with MATLAB, GTest and makefiles
- Proficiency with Lauterbach, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Experience with version control (Git/Gerrit) and CI tools (Jenkins)
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
