About the role

Walter P Moore is an international engineering firm headquartered in Houston, Texas, solving complex structural and infrastructure challenges. The Designer - Civil in Bengaluru, KA, IN works with a team of engineers to design and produce civil engineering projects, translating supervising engineer instructions into design drawings and performing site development tasks. Day-to-day work includes preparing exhibits, preliminary and final site development drawings, plan & profiles, and using Civil 3D and supported software for site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, surface modeling, alignments, corridors, profiles, sections, and material take-offs.

• Understand and follow instructions from Supervising engineer for engineering concepts and translate to design drawings
• Prepare exhibits, preliminary and final site development drawings, and plan & profiles from verbal instructions, notes, and other input material from supervising engineer
• Use Civil 3D and Civil 3D supported analysis and modeling software to perform design tasks such as site layouts, site grading, site drainage and utilities, surface modeling and analysis, creation of a
• Apply basic engineering design principles, theories, and practices to complete assignments and help the supervising engineer manage multiple deadlines
• May act as a technical specialist and advisor to mentor and train graduate engineers, and cad technicians
• Conform to company standards
• Organize and maintain project related information per company’s requirements and standards

What you’ll bring

• Diploma/Bachelors in civil engineering
• 3-5 years Land/Site Development drafting and design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Civil/3D
• Ability to understand and follow instructions from Supervising engineer for engineering concepts and translate to design drawings
• Ability to prepare exhibits, preliminary and final site development drawings, and plan & profiles from verbal instructions, notes, and other input material

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Civil 3D supported software (SSA, Hydraflow) is an added advantage
