Junior Engineer, Central QA

About the role

Central QA - CRM team ensures the quality of incoming materials for Jindal Stainless Ltd. The Junior Engineer manages high volumes of material inspections, identifies defects, coordinates with stores, users and purchase, and maintains accurate inspection records and traceability. Based in Jajpur, Odisha, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Manage high volumes of incoming material inspections
• Identify quality defects within limited inspection time
• Coordinate with stores, users, and purchase departments
• Ensure accurate inspection records and traceability
• Accept or reject materials based on inspection standards
• Escalate critical quality issues to senior staff
• Implement supplier quality improvement actions
• Revise inspection plans and calibrate inspection equipment

What you’ll bring

• 1-3 years experience
• Diploma or B.Sc. degree
• Knowledge of incoming and final inspection processes
• Understanding of engineering drawings
• Knowledge of sampling plans and ASTM standards
• Basic MS Excel and SAP proficiency
• Good communication and time management skills
