Manager – Identity and Access Management (IAM)

About the role

Medline Industries, LP is hiring a Manager – Identity and Access Management (IAM) in Pune on a full-time, on-site basis. The role seeks a Senior QA Automation Tester / SDET with an automation-first mindset to lead test automation strategy, framework design, and AI/GenAI-assisted testing across integration, UI, and API testing. Day-to-day work includes developing automated tests, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, mentoring QA engineers, and tracking automation ROI and quality metrics.

What you’ll do

• Champion an automation-first, shift-left testing culture across the team, proactively identifying manual, repetitive, or high-risk areas for automation.
• Define and implement overall test automation strategies, tooling roadmaps, and governance across applications and services.
• Develop automated tests for web applications using modern automation frameworks such as Playwright (Selenium, UFT experience also valued).
• Develop and execute API tests using Postman, REST Assured, or other API testing tools/frameworks, applying an API-first testing approach.
• Evaluate and implement AI/GenAI capabilities in software testing, including generating automated test scripts, self-healing tests, flaky-test detection, and change-impact analysis.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to automation developers, including upskilling manual testers toward automation-first practices.
• Track and report automation ROI, including automation coverage %, execution time saved, and reduction in manual effort.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Software Development in Test (SDET).
• Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, with a demonstrated bias toward automating repeatable work.
• Strong experience with integration testing.
• Strong experience in UI and API testing.
• Strong experience with modern UI automation frameworks.
• Experience with Postman or other API testing tools/frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up (architecture, not just script authoring).
• Experience working with Test Management and Defect Management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, ALM).

Nice to have

• Experience with Performance Testing and performance testing tools (JMeter, ReadyAPI, WebLOAD, Neoload).
• Knowledge of Selenium and experience working with Selenium-based automation frameworks.
• Experience with API contract testing and/or service virtualization (e.g., Pact, WireMock).
• Experience with tools such as REST Assured, Karate, Pact, or similar API testing technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based and containerized test execution environments for scalable, parallel execution.
• Good understanding of TDD/BDD approaches, microservices, and micro-frontend testing.
• Experience with programming skills in at least one language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
