Sap Abap Hana Technology Architect

About the role

Cognizant's Technology & Engineering Technology Architect team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India seeks an SAP ABAP HANA specialist to design, develop, and support SAP ERP application extensions and S/4HANA solutions. Day-to-day work spans requirement gathering, technical design, coding oversight, testing, project closure, service support, and mentoring developers across implementation projects. The role requires 6+ years of ABAP development with 2-3 years of S/4HANA ABAP experience and at least 1-2 implementation projects.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and support application solutions with focus on SAP Net Weaver ABAP 7.54 and ABAP on S/4HANA
• Develop RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and FIORI Apps
• Design and build SAP ERP application extensions including customised reports, utilities, interfaces, FIORI, BOPF, AIF, and forms using ABAP reports, function modules, classes, methods, BAPIs, BADIs, e
• Lead project planning and setup including resource planning, estimation, knowledge enrichment, change management, quality management, and test strategy review
• Conduct requirement gathering and analysis, create requirements traceability matrix, perform feasibility analysis, and analyze NFRs
• Oversee coding activities, allocate modules, review pseudo codes and final codes, set standards, and approve for testing
• Manage testing by reviewing test cases, supporting integration test cases, validating results, tracking defects, and attending QA audits
• Handle project closure, service support and maintenance, knowledge management, and people management including mentoring, training, and performance appraisal

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
• 2-3 years of SAP S/4HANA ABAP experience
• Worked on at least 1-2 ABAP on S/4HANA implementation projects
• Expertise in ABAP Object Oriented Programming (ABAP OOPS)
• Experience in Code Pushdown, Open SQL, AMDP, and defining advanced views using Core Data Services (CDS) and CDS Associations in ABAP
• Experience in OData service, BOPF framework, and end-to-end FIORI apps development using SAP standard FIORI templates
• Experience on SAP tool sets ATC, SQLM, UPL, etc.

• Experience on restful ABAP programming
• Experience in Advance Adobe Forms
• Experience in Data Migration to S/4 HANA
