V&V Engineer

About the role

Cubic Transportation Systems seeks a V&V Engineer in Hyderabad to design, develop, and execute tests for application software and web-based applications. The role involves API testing, troubleshooting, and implementing tools to enhance testing efficiency while tracking system metrics. This is a full-time position requiring 3-5 years of experience.

What you’ll do

• Design, development and execution of tests and testing systems for application software or web-based applications
• Interface with team members representing a wide range of disciplines
• Implement tools suitable for increasing the efficiency of Testing
• Develop and track system test metrics
• Exercise discretionary decision-making authority under general supervision

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in technology (B Tech) or MCA or related field
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in manual Software Testing
• Experience analyzing and testing complex engineering software
• Sound understanding of software development life cycle
• Proficiency in DB and SQL Queries

Nice to have

• Web based applications testing
• API testing with POSTMAN or similar tools
• Troubleshooting and quality assurance procedures
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio and other MS Office Applications
• Well experienced with scripting languages like JavaScript or Shell scripting
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL
